I wanted to write a review specifically because I saw that a lot of people are struggling with linking these together. And I did too. But through trial and error I have put my finger on the correct method. I have 4 linked together and then two others as I need 6 of these to run the front of my house. The key is that from the side you plug in with the adapter, you can connect up to 4 more, but they outlets have to connect red wire to red wire and white to white. However, when you connect the end piece, it has to connect to the next to last opposite- red to white. In this way you can connect up to 5 together. For safety purposes I’m guessing 6 or more require a separate electric source.Hope this helps! It’s been great for us! It’s beautiful and fun and easy to hang and easy to store. No tangles and craziness. And they have tolerated the wet, rainy and foggy Decembers here in Oregon.Got 3 strands of these to hang from a tree as part of my Christmas decorations. Each strand has 10 tubes and there is quite a bit of "lead" wire between the small LED controller (of which one end plugs to an outlet and the other leads to the lights)and the first tube.The "lead" wire was very important to me because I needed some space between the controller (which shouldn't be exposed to the elements) and the actual lights so they can be hung from some tree branches. Other options at a few stores I went to had only a foot or so of space between the plug and the first light, which meant I would have to either start the lights at my house or figure out how to run an extension cable into my tree. With these there is enough lead wire to run from the house into the tree before the first tube. They also came with some thin zip ties to help mount them. Each tube has a small loophole and the zip ties worked perfectly.Besides that technical aspect, the lights themselves look amazing. They're very bright and animate well. The spiral shape inside the tube helps to refract the LEDs so you can see the light regardless of what direction you're viewing.I removed one star because you can't daisy chain these in any way. While I understand they need a controller it still would be nice to be able to connect the controllers together so as to only use one outlet spot. Also, one of the three controllers ran hot to the touch. The other two stayed cool the entire time. So I'm not sure how long the hot one will last me. Finally, I'd like to have a strand with more tubes. If you can't daisy chain, then I'd like to have a strand with 20 or 30 tubes on it.Overall I'm very satisfied with these lights and look forward to using them again next year.Update...I still absolutely love these lights! I am updating to include the outstanding customer service I received. One tube was faulty on one of the strands. The company sent me a whole new strand and allowed me to keep the faulty one. Customer service was quick to reply to my email and resolve the issue with no work or expense on my part. I highly recommend this company!My husband said no to a COVD 19 puppy, so I settled for these awesome lights. Since we are home all day everyday during this time, I decided to put these lights up. They truly make me smile, and I love them! I plan to leave them up year round! I have had them up for about a week. They have sustained high winds (up to 50 mph...we have had some strong spring storms in TN). I ordered 4 strands and put them all in one tree. The only negative, once I had them up, I noticed one tube on one strand has 3 lights that don't "twinkle"...they just stay on. I am not sure if I am able to replace one single tube or not. I plan to email the company and ask. Overall, I am more than pleased with this purchase. I have purchased MANY things while home during this shelter in place, and this has been my favorite purchase by far. I plan to ask for more strands for Mother's Day because I feel like my tree needs more! Plus, I have received so many compliments on these lights too! If you are on the fence about purchasing, go ahead and click BUY NOW! You won't be disappointed.Your display will never look like the photo because the wiring between the tubes is very short. The lights perform well and look great but I wish the wires between the lights was about 30-36". I don't believe these lights will last long if they are dangling in the wind between tree limbs. They need to be attached to the limb to take stress off the wires.They are relatively easy to hang in trees or clipped to rain gutters BUT be warned they cannot be "daisy chained" like other types of lights.I've had these up for 2 weeks now and all is well. They look great from the road but i wish they were a bit longer. I purchased two of the multi-color strings and wish that they could be programed; Or at least be able to vary the color and speed of the LED strip. The LEDs are nice and bright and easy to install. As far as durability, they appear to be doing ok in a N.E. Ohio winter. I'll update after the season is over. It is a bit disappointing that all the strings run through their vertical sequence at the same time rather than randomly. Other than that, quite pleased.
