The CD is clearly marked Hymns To The Nordic Lights, as is the box and the cover artwork. The liner notes go into great detail about the composer and the works listed on the back of the box. Splendid. One problem: the box lists 14 tracks, but the CD contains only 8. This CD contains 50 minutes worth of flute concertos that I have never heard before, and to be honest they are quite pleasant. It’s just a shame that it has nothing whatsoever to do with what was advertised, which is kind of the main reason I decided to pre-order it. Hopefully, it’s just my luck that I received the one bad disc in the bunch...but I really doubt that. Buyer beware.*UPDATE* Amazon kindly sent me a replacement disc, but it is still the same WRONG music. Unfortunately, I’d recommend that everybody stay away from this release, until the Ondine record label posts some kind of recall information.
